JAKARTA, Indonesia – July 20, 2026 – A new model for entering motorsport is emerging in Indonesia, driven by 11-year-old rental karting prodigy Fatan Alfa Raid. By competing at a professional level in the Sodi World Series (SWS) Junior Cup and the Kart inc Pro League (KPL) using commercial rental karts, Fatan has demonstrated that aspiring drivers can build a career without the high costs of traditional pro-kart categories. His success has attracted corporate sponsors and is reshaping perceptions of rental karting as a viable stepping stone to open-wheel racing.
Fatan’s breakthrough came in November 2025 when he secured a race-by-race sponsorship from energy giant Pertamina for the SWS Junior Cup Round 6 at Gokart Avenue. The partnership began after his management sent a bold, professional direct message to Pertamina, leading to a meeting where FAR Racing Management convinced executives of the series’ global merit. Fatan validated their trust by winning that round, and since then, a roster of partners—including Polowijo Gosari, Walking Drums, Garasi 64, Miratech International, and Merapi Golf—have joined via the same innovative sponsorship model.

FAR Racing Management also trains Fatan to be a “commercial-ready athlete,” teaching him media interview skills and digital content creation for sponsors alongside on-track development. Fatan is next scheduled to race in the SWS Junior Cup on August 1, 2026, at Gokart Avenue, seeking points toward his goal of representing Indonesia at the SWS World Finals in Europe.
