GalleryDock, based in Hanover, Germany, launched international access to website embedding on October 4, 2026. The release allows English-speaking photographers to display client galleries and associated print shops within compatible business websites, extending an integration previously available in the German-speaking market.
The announcement follows the software’s general English-language launch on September 24. Website embedding has a separate release history: the function was introduced in July, with international availability beginning today. The October rollout concerns where photographers can present galleries and sales options within an existing online business.
Gallery delivery and print sales within an existing website
The integration uses a code supplied by GalleryDock that is copied into a website’s HTML or embed block. The photographer continues to manage the gallery through GalleryDock, while the destination page belongs to the photographer’s website. Implementation therefore depends on the site editor permitting embedded content.
The scope includes displaying a gallery and a shop. A gallery presents an image collection to a client; a print shop provides a place to order physical photographs. Bringing these views into a business website connects two stages of a photography assignment: reviewing the pictures and ordering prints.
For example, a photographer with an existing portfolio site can add a page containing an embedded client gallery. A shop can also be displayed on the site where print sales form part of the service. These are examples of the integration’s use, rather than reports of specific customer deployments.
Access controls and implementation requirements
GalleryDock includes password protection and client image selection within the wider gallery platform. Embedding determines where the gallery is displayed; photographers still need to configure the collection and its access settings. A business website and a client collection serve different purposes, particularly when a collection is intended for a restricted audience.
Support for custom HTML or an embed block is a prerequisite for the destination page. A website editor that does not permit embedded content cannot use this integration method. The release does not require photographers to move their entire website to GalleryDock.
